For the past 10 years, metalworking has not only sustained and occupied Reinis but has also allowed him to view metal from a new perspective. Over the last 6 years, with some pauses but great determination, he has created more than 40 metal artworks. Living and navigating both of these spheres has made it evident that the emotions encountered in the act of creation—from nothing to something—are invaluable and merit the effort. For the artist, metal paintings represent the most profound and authentic means of channeling and articulating his inner emotional currents.
