About the event

We invite you to a music concert of Andrei Pushkarev and Iurii Gavryliuk duet with the program "Not only Jazz ..." on April 23 at 18:00  in honor of the opening of MASA cultural space. During the event, we hope to respond to potential fundraising opportunities in order to facilitate the completion of repairs in studio’s new premises. We will celebrate the work done so far and discuss future plans while listening to groovy magical music of this duo. Everyone is welcome, both who is interested in collaboration and those who simply want to spend an evening in a pleasant atmosphere and become acquainted with the studio's new premises.

Open from 17:30, the music program will last one hour. The entrance is free. Places are limited

Riga, Elizabetes iela 67, entrance to the semi-basement from the main street.

Andrei Pushkarev and Iurii Gavryliuk are soloists of the Kremerata Baltica Chamber Orchestra founded by the world famous violinist Gidon Kremer and based in Riga. Iurii plays the double bass, Andrei plays the percussion instrument called vibraphone. In addition to their active concert schedules as members of the orchestra, these two soloists decided to create a chamber duo. Both instruments - the double bass and the vibraphone - are very "jazzy", so there is no escape from jazz in this program. But, in addition to the so-called "jazz standards", the program will feature several adaptations of classical works, as well as compositions by Astor Piazzolla and Giya Kancheli. Therefore, the program is called "Not only Jazz ..."
