"Immersion" is a series of works exploring inner observation, capturing states of consciousness, and processes of personal transformation. The project is built around an attempt to visualize a person's internal psychological states during moments of self-reflection, self-perception and interaction with the surrounding world.
The image of the astronaut in the works serves as a metaphor for the external self – a personality shaped by experience, environment, social constructs and internal experiences. At the same time, the inner world in the series exists as a separate, infinite space of observation, filled with thoughts, emotional states, memories, and internal dialogues. Space in the works becomes not an external environment, but a visual form of consciousness and introspection.
The series explores the state of distance between a person and themselves—a moment in which they can observe their own reactions, fears, anxiety, melancholy, or internal changes from the outside. Capturing these states becomes a means of analysis and an attempt to understand the processes occurring within the individual. In some works, recurring symbols, such as red fabric, are used as images of transition, internal transformation, and shifting perceptions.
The project unites the themes of contemplation, internal dialogue, adaptation, and the evolution of perception. The works do not seek to directly explain these states, but rather capture the process of internal observation, leaving room for personal interpretation and recognition of one's own experiences in the depicted scenes.
