The series of works was created in an author's technique, in which photography, painting and impressions of ethereal memories organically merge, creating visual self-portraits as an introspective and at the same time poetic cognition. These images are not just a reflection of the individual, they are a materialization of the desire to see a person as an integral part of the ecosystem - as a unit rooted in a common natural base. The visual and symbolic layer of the works is also based on the code of Latvian culture and identity - a wreath of wild flowers, the living element of a campfire. Touching the wild nature of a woman. These are elements that are simultaneously archetypal and personal, marking an internal dialogue between individual and collective memory. Untamed nature is experienced as a space in which it is possible to free oneself from social frameworks in order to encounter the deepest essence. These self-portraits invite us to think about identity as a changing state of transition—one that connects with the cycles of nature, with roots in the earth, with fire that purifies and unites, with flowers that bloom and wither.
