In his creative expressions, the author challenges himself by working with large forms, testing his technical knowledge and creative abilities to create artworks primarily from his most familiar material—steel. His works are characterized by an interest in mechanical systems and an appreciation for their aesthetics.

After graduating from high school in 2014, Brūss Kalniņš enrolled at Riga Technical University (RTU) and obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering sciences. Later, he began studies at the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) in Metal Design. He graduated from the bachelor's program, with an excellently defended thesis, “Illusions of Perceived Impressions.”
