"Could a planet be just a single cell?

I was five when I first encountered a real magnifying glass at a friend’s house. Not the plastic kind used to burn ants in sunlight, but a proper lens with tenfold zoom. I looked at the back of my hand and was stunned. So many deep lines, and the surface was anything but smooth. It made me realize how much of the truth I simply couldn’t see. Depending on how you look, the same thing can appear completely different. My perfectly flat skin had suddenly become wrinkled terrain. Somehow, I could accept that contradiction without resistance. Since then, whenever I look at something, I always wonder: am I seeing it through a microscope or a telescope? I’ve been severely nearsighted since I was born, so from the very beginning, my vision taught me to doubt the clarity of what I see. The moment I relax my focus, the world turns to fog. How far can my gaze really travel? How sharply am I choosing to see? That quiet questioning has become one of the most central habits in my life."
