Semantic satiation is the phenomenon in which a repeated word loses its meaning and becomes a sequence of incoherent sounds. Jūlija Šilova experiences a similar sensation in her practice: after hours of painting, the meaning of the work itself begins to deconstruct. In this process, repetition becomes a method of destruction rather than confirmation, ultimately serving as a point of reconstruction for both meaning and artistic language.
