"Man of an Economic Type" is a glass self-portrait that reveals the author’s face as a structured, yet fragile reflection. The transparent material symbolizes a person’s inner transparency and inability to completely hide from their true “self”. The relief of the face resembles an imprint of both strength and vulnerability – a seal left by work, duties and everyday worries. The work provokes reflections on the image of masculinity and its connection with practicality, duties and the certainty of life’s course. "Man of an Economic Type" is both a self-reflection and an ironic commentary on society’s expectations of a man as a pillar of stability and work.
